Although BMW has yet to confirm rumors of a FWD BMW model we couldn't help ourselves from finding out what you thought. A trusted source, Autocar, argues that the Bavarian automaker might be introducing a new model geared toward luxury drivers with less power requirements. Everyone already knows about the BMW 3.0 liter inline six cylinder engine but it's not for the average driver. The new FWD BMW will have an engine roughly half that size.
So, what are they calling this new mystery vehicle? It's coined the "1 Series GT". If Autocar is correct the 1 Series GT will most likely be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this fall, and the production model will launch roughly two years after.
Sound interesting?
