With the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show just weeks away, it's no surprise to us why everyone in the auto industry has their eyes set on Germany right now. As much as we're in the same boat here at BMW of Southampton, Frankfurt can wait. Because when it comes to the future of our new and used cars, there's nowhere we'd rather be than Munich.

In case you missed it, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance motor show took place in Munich last week. Automakers from across the globe were there with new models and concepts in tow, our favorite automaker being no exception. As for what they brought to the stage, it was none other than the BMW M4 Concept Coupe.

Though some concepts out there look like space-age people-movers sent back from the future, the M4 Concept looks like it's ready to roll off the production line. With an incredibly sleek styling, 20-inch wheels and aero-shaped mirrors, this concept is everything we love about BMW in one head-turning package. As it just so happens, that was the whole idea.

"The BMW Concept M4 Coupe reflects the BMW M philosophy in ideal form: It combines motor racing genes and unrestricted everyday suitability in a highly emotional overall concept," says Dr. Friedrich Nitschke, President of the BMW M Division. "For four generations, the BMW M3 has put motor racing on the road and the BMW Concept M4 Coupe consistently continues to pursue this fundamental idea."1

Unfortunately, we're still waiting for specifics in the way of its powertrain and when we can expect it to roll into our dealership. Until then, feel free to do as we do by tiding yourself over with a test drive down here in Southampton, NY. Can't let Germany have all the fun now, can we?
