If only we here at BMW of Southampton knew how to navigate our iPhones with the same ease as we do our new and used cars, maybe we wouldn't look like such old fogies these days. If it weren't for our kids who spend half their days glued to a computer, we'd be totally lost. But with this latest news from BMW, our worries will soon be over.
See, there isn't a day that goes by without someone coming to our dealership looking to learn more about the technological upgrades and capabilities of our lineup. We manage to get by, but much of the credit goes to the wizards in our parts department. We're always working hard to help better serve our technophile customers, and now that BMW is taking a page from Apple, our prayers will soon be answered.
If you've ever visited one of the many Apple stores that grace this fine planet of ours, chances are you've seen or been to one of their "Genius Bars" along the way. For those who haven't, the "Genius Bar" is a designated tech support area run by Apple's tech "Geniuses" who can help fix any issue concerning any Apple product. Well by the end of this year, BMW will be hiring their own technological "Geniuses" to provide the same kind of service, only for BMW models, at dealerships across the US.
Word has it that they're primarily looking to hire tech-savvy college-age students, and after recently kicking off a pilot program of the initiative in the UK, feedback has been nothing but positive. Not only that, but BMW will also be adding vehicle and technology tutorials on their website in the near future that will be bundled into iPhone and iPad apps.
Lots to get excited about, folks, especially with all these space-age gadgets that just keep on coming. With that being said, feel free to come try them out for yourself down here at 759 County Road 39A in Southampton, NY 11968 today. Because nothing compares to hands-on education.
