What's that new BMW with two doors and that seriously agro-looking body kit? If you said the M235i, you'd be close, but wrong. It's the 2016 M2, the first entry-level performance coupe we've seen in quite some time. This week marked its auto show debut in Detroit.
The BMW brand and its M counterpart have a long history of potent performance models, going back to the fabled 2002 Turbo of the 1970s, and stretching through to the more recent 1M coupe. The M2 builds on that with more power than both (365 horsepower), and rivaling even that of potent models such as the current M4.
