BMW unveiled an exclusive short film on BMWFilms.com, and you won’t want to miss it.
Directed by Academy Award-nominated director Neill Blomkamp, “The Escape” featured celebrities such as Dakota Fanning and Clive Owen, who plays the driver. The all-new BMW 5 Series sedan is his trusty co-star.
The film is an acknowledgment to the 15th anniversary of the original series, “The Hire.” The two-season series featured eight short films, and they always starred Owen as a mysterious driver charged to complete different missions.
“When we commissioned ‘The Escape,’ our only direction was that the story remain of utmost importance and that it should live up to the standards set by ‘The Hire,’” said Hildegard Wortmann, senior Vice President, Brand BMW. “Neill, Clive, and the entire cast did a tremendous job, and we are confident that ‘The Escape’ not only meets that standard but sets a new one.”
